AWARD CONCEPT STATEMENT BY STILL INTERIORS:

  The Fredonia Hotel has been an East Texas Landmark since 1955 and is in downtown Nacogdoches.  After having multiple owners and closures, The Fredonia Hotel has revamped into a 1950s mid-century modern style through a two-year historic renovation.  The hotel has been completely gutted keeping its original architecture and structural components.  The hotel is very special to its community and travelers, the renovation has been one to talk about amongst East Texas.  The hotel has encountered many generations, all kinds of spectators, and so many memories for all who have experienced it.  The design focus was not only to bring back the era of mid-century mod but to also incorporate the beautiful landscape of East Texas.  The design of the hotel has many modern and organic accents representing their deep roots in the piney woods.  In addition to the 1950s motif and modern landscape accents, the hotel has been brought into the 21st century with high tech amenities.   Guest are in for a real treat when experiencing this historical town and hotel.  Nacogdoches has gained their downtown jewel back with generations to follow its legacy.
